Kaufbeuren and its surroundings offer you a variety of recreational and relaxational activities. Not only all places, attractions and recreational facilities Allgäu has to offer can be reached easily from our hotel, but also sites beyond its boundaries.

Here is an overview of the most important places, attractions, events, special offers for wellness and family recreation in the region. But this does not nearly include everything!

The picturesque town has so much to offer: the Franciscan convent, with its church and secluded courtyards and St. Crescentia; the medieval old part of town, which reflects the glory of a former imperial free city; the weekly farmer’s market, which invites one to browse around and shop; the attractive gothic church St. Martin, the medieval city wall and its towers, the Fünfknopf tower, a landmark of the city and the ancient church St. Blasius located directly next to the city wall, the museum of art “kunsthaus kaufbeuren” located within the old fortification, the famous Tänzelfest, the city’s annual festival in remembrance of the emperor Maximilian, who enjoyed being a guest here; or the district Neugablonz, where the old bohemian jewellery industry was successfully relocated to the Swabian region. A town known for its hospitality and catering qualities. It guarantees an interesting and pleasant stay.
The varied countryside of mountains, hills and beautiful lakes offers so many possibilities for unforgettable outings: the historic town Füssen with its districts Bad Faulenbach, Hopfen am See and Weißensee, the world famous castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Füssen is known as the origin of European manufacturing of lutes and violins. Hundreds of craftsmen immigrated from Füssen to the European cultural centers, where they established workshops. Also worth seeing: Lech waterfall, Hohes Schloss and the church St-Mang.
The town offers high-quality wellness. The shops along the promenade are ideal for a stroll. Or relax at the thermal spa “Therme Bad Wörishofen”.

Located in the Lech valley. 7 km away from Reutte you will find the beautiful lake Plansee, surrounded by mountains. Plan your return trip past the castle Linderhof, Oberammergau and Steingaden.
